Firefox and its amazing plugins make it become not only number one browser but also a geat web development tools for me and many other web designers and developers.

Here, is my most useful and popular web development firefox plugins which I am using and hopefully it would help you build and analyse your sites.

Firefox Plugin No 1. FIREBUG
Edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page, “probably the best Firefox plugin in the world”.

Firefox Plugin No 2. WEB DEVELOPER TOOLBAR
Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools. I used this tool everyday, it allows me to find out which style of an element is using by press a combination Ctrl+Shift+Y , you then can edit the CSS on fly .. and a lot more..

Firefox Plugin No 3. SEOQUAKE
Seoquake is one of the most powerful tools available for analyzing your websites Search Engine Optimisation results. A downside of this plugin is slowing down a web page while loading and also generate a “mess” text under each links in result list.

Firefox Plugin No 4. FIREFTP
FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers. It also allows you to export or import a list of your saved FTP details so you can use it in different locations. [ad#ad-1]

Firefox Plugin No 5. FIRESHOT
I stated using Fireshot not long ago but it is an amazing image editor. You can easily take a screenshot of your current page and edit, highlight, delete any part of the page. The edit screenshot would be treat as a mockup for other web designers or developers.

Firefox Plugin No 6. SCREENGRAB
Great tool for record your testing application where you have to take a screenshot of the current status and send to other developers. It allows you to save the image to various of extension : bmp, jpg etc..

You might also find these below extensions useful, but I don’t use them often:

Firefox Plugin: AARDVARK
This has to be the most impressive development plugin for Firefox yet. It’s great for just trimming down pages and isolating portions to print as well.

Firefox Plugin: MEASUREIT
Draw a ruler across any web page to check the width, height, or alignment of page elements in pixels.

Firefox Plugin: ACCESSIBILITY EXTENSION
Every company and site owner should ensure their website is accessible to able-bodied and disabled users. The Accessibility Extension is a toolbar that allows non-disabled designers the ability to experience what it’s like to be a disabled web user, as well as giving disabled users a selection of tools to help with their browsing experience.

Firefox Plugin: DEVBOI
DevBoi is a great sidebar for coders and developers that gives you instant access to all the manuals you could ever need. Simply launch from the Tools menu in Firefox and then double-click on the element you’re interested in to bring up the right manual page.[ad]

Please feel free to add your favourite Firefox Extension to our list.
